If I did not think highly of you I would not have mentioned what I saw as a tarnish. My comments were focused on performance, not atmospherics. TBH I don't care about the latter and if I read nonsense I usually just move on unless it states something demonstrably false that warrants correction. I also do not think that mlop, to whom I was responding, was flinging vitriol in what she said. I think enough people have heavily criticized her performance qua performance that one can rip it apart on firm substantive grounds without being labelled. (To be clear, I don't have a horse in this race. I would not have revived it, and probably would not have gone to see it if I didn't feel the need to see just about everything.) Maybe it was not your intent, but I read what you wrote as lumping every "hater" into the same bucket. (Did someone actually say they wished she would leave so that her thinner understudy could take over, or is that you projecting. What I recall is that people said they were gleeful because someone who would be better at performing the role would take over. But correct me if I overlooked something that rises above 1-2 of our beloved cranks.)
