Thanks, BroadwayTonyJ. Though I was kind of kidding - I was comparing your "not memorable" rating for your first-time hearing of Doubtfire to the obviously "I can him all the tunes before the show starts" setup of MJ. :-)
That said, I appreciate your comments on the book of the show. And this is why I wish this glut of bio-jukebox shows would come to an end. TV shows like "Behind The Music" are better set up to be mini-documentaries, trying to translate that to live theatre doesn't usually tend to work. I can't imagine what major revelatory drama will be made of Neil Diamond's life as we get HIS bio-musical this summer. Ugh. Enough. |
