Interesting. My DVR recorded The Light in the Piazza, Carousel, and Act One. My recollection is that I watched the two musicals as they were being broadcast. I watched the recording of Act One on my DVR some time after the broadcast. I kept all 3 recordings for a year or two and went back to them occasionally, but eventually deleted them. I did purchase Carousel on DVD.
When I watched Act One off my DVR, it did indeed have just a single break between acts. I don't remember if Piazza or Carousel had just a single break between acts or several breaks for pledges.
I notice that sirpupnyc also states that some productions of Live from Lincoln Center were not actually broadcast live. Who is right? |
