I think, unfortunately, it comes down to the optics, not the testing procedures. She didn't have a mask on, and yet she was trying to insist someone else needed to wear theirs. Regardless of the rules, that just doesn't look right.
But, I also think that if Patti had kept this calmer, and to really just being abut the rules, not making it an angry, cursing, personal thing, that she maybe might have had just a little more credibility with the maskless person in question. (Maybe not, but it wouldn't have hurt.) If it had been me (though in reality I would have had my mask on), I would have been so put off by her tone that I too would have wanted to push back further, instead of masking up. |
