there is no conceivable reality wherein the movie being streamable for free at the same time as it's in theater hasn't impacted the cinema box office.

Especially considering we're still in a pandemic and many people are:
-used to watching stuff at home and being ok with it
-still concerned about exposure and sitting in an enclosed space for 2-3 hours with strangers often not wearing masks isn't in their comfort level yet
-do not want to pay to watch the movie with a mask on

couple those factors with how many people either don't care to spend the money or don't have the money to spend right now (especially because of the impact of covid financially) when they could watch it for a streaming service they or a friend already have/pay for...

well... there's just no way to know how that impacted the box office, but I think there's no way to deny that it must have.
