It is a disappointment compared to the projections, and the projections were created factoring in all of the things you say above (lack of stars, not a franchise, simultaneous streaming) and the movie still couldn't hit them. I don't understand your need to make the movie not sound like the failure it was. I assure you the studio considers it a failure.
How do you know what they did and did not take into account when making their projections? How do you know if they gave sufficient weight to the things I mentioned, and how can you "assure" me that the studio considers the movie a "failure?" All of that is what I don't understand -- but then again, I don't understand lots of things you post.
