I don't see where anyone is advocating "cancelling" anyone. I don't know what invoking that trope of the radical right has to do with anything here. You will note that being arrested (and thus its logical corollary, going to jail) was brought up by ALW, not anyone here. And I think in a civilized society advocating breaking the law (rarely more so in a way that implicates the safety of others) is something to be condemned. (And that's not a point that differentiates left from right.) Would you feel differently if ALW owned a factory that contumaciously dumped toxic chemicals in rivers because he thought they were "safe"? Regarding being an embarrassment, that's obviously subjective but I find it embarrassing that he is acting like a fool who seems to have lost his mooring and any semblance of a moral compass (although in the latter case perhaps he had nothing left to lose).
