I really don’t think it is a white supremacist history. River city iowa is a fictional town but it’s probably based on wilsons hometown of mason city Iowa. Current demographics is 93% white. I can only assume that it was even higher in the 50s or when he grew up (he was born in 1902)

That doesn’t mean that a current revival has to be all white and can be diverse. But i actually find it just as racist to state “avoid casting black people in primary roles”. What about Asians and Latinos and …. If you are on your high horse accusing others, you should be careful about the words you use.
