SONGS OF NEW YORK Box set
Posted by: bmc 03:56 pm EDT 06/03/21

Reading all the I Heart new York posts, I dug out a 1984 collection from Book of the Month Club,;It was John McGlinn's first recording, It had 37 songs, all Bwy or vaudeville related. Performers included Judy Kaye ,Kim Criswell, Cris Groenendal, Ann Morrison, Ron Raines And Joe Papp singing Cole Porter's "Please Don't Monkey with Broadway". I Don't know who owns the rights to this recording, but releasing it it on CD would be a good way to welcome & build back Broadway better. Did anyone ever hear this recording?
