I'm so curious about how the "meet cute" between Ledger and Gyllenhaal went down. I doubt they met while waiting in the hall outside an audition room, going over sides before going in. I wonder if one of them called the other to introduce himself and commiserate? If so...how does THAT happen? Did somebody phone around and find a friend with the number of the other? Did the agent reach out and set up a lunch?

At first glance, it's an odd way to start a friendship, but, I have to think that, were I up for a major role of some kind and came down to the final three, didn't get it, and the other guy who also didn't get it phoned me up and invited me to hang out, I'd probably do it. :)
