Since there wasn't an announcement, we don't know for sure one way or the other. However, if we go by recent history, the only show to play the Broadway Theatre this century and officially recoup is the original production of The Color Purple, which began performances on 11/01/2005 and announced recoupment on 12/10/2006 after 13 months.
Promises, Promises ran for 9 months and averaged a weekly gross of $1,077,165 over that time period. It never had a single week where it came close to selling out which means not much help from premium tickets. That doesn't spell recoupment to me. However, that's just my assessment.
