the latter, for several reasons. First, it is not possible in some of the older theatres. Second, there is no assurance the state would allow it in any event. Third, and most important, any reopening that is dependent on air filtration would necessarily include social distancing and reducing capacity in Broadway theatres is not economically viable. Fourth, there is no expectation of tourists anytime soon so for that reason as well there is nothing to take these steps for. We appear to be entering what has been described as the darkest days of the pandemic. Nobody is gonna do nothin till we come out of the other side of this.
