I agree with everything you say about The Music Man. In addition the scene where the previously shy Winthrop comes out of his shell and joyously sings about the Wells Fargo wagon, which causes Marian to tear up the page from the book about Harold's faux-alma mater, -- that scene always makes me cry. It's a powerfully emotional moment.

I am a little skeptical about this particular production, though. 15 years ago Jackman would have been ideally cast as Harold Hill, but next year he and Foster will be much older than their characters were originally intended to be. Preston was 39 and Cook just turned 30 when they created the roles on Broadway.
