It could be too small for them to fuss with, though in the past Mr. Birsh had pets that he did them for but it could also be that some theatres feel they can make money on advertising on their own. (I've always wondered if the Broadway landlords were compensated by Playbill; my guess is yes but that's a pretty closed room.) And there are pretty significant limits on what a small theatre can do in the playbill and that may cramp the style of some
