re: Why does Shakespeare in the Park insist on starting at 8pm, when FASTTRACK shuts down the A/B/C/D trains starting at 10pm all this week and all next week?

Who cares what the lighting designers want? What does the public want? I don't like blinding spotlights shining in my eyes after 9pm; it ruins the experience for me. The 8pm to 9pm hour is so much more pleasant to view since I can actually see by natural light and can see the character's facial expressions much better. It's so much more intimate and pleasant in daylight.
